Why so Barbaric?
No I am not a technophobe but I love to keep things simple. All my audio products are designed, built and tested with simplicity in mind. Primitive design and build practices, such as extremely low component count and soldering in a loincloth keep prices down and audio quality up. All Barbaric gear layouts are setup so components can be replaced and listening test performed with relative ease. I do have some “advanced” modern test equipment used for troubleshooting, to ensure safety and to keep tolerances tight in identical pieces of gear. But everything else is completely tested by ear. All of the components in the audio signal go through a rigorous listening process. Keeping it as Barbaric as possible, and not one bit more.
Yours Barbarically,
Chris Prucher
P.S. I don’t actually solder in a loincloth (all the time).
